Admission to the BTech programme at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) with a rank between 15000 and 20000 can be challenging and is determined by a variety of factors such as the number of candidates, available seats, and reservation regulations. Candidates with higher ranks often have a better chance, but this varies depending on branch preference. It is recommended that you study the prior year's cutoff trends for certain BTech branches at JMI to determine your prospects. Furthermore, preparing a solid application and considering different universities as backups will improve your total acceptance chances.

For last year, the closing rank for BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering was 15851 which is very close to this range. This was for the General category under the All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however, the cut-offs keep changing year on year, it's advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of admission.
