Can I get job abroad if I done my B.Tech from UGC recognised university (LPU) but not AICTE approved.
-
LPU has been established by Punjab Vishan Sabha Act passed in 2005 u/s 2F of UGC Act 1956. It is recognised by UGC, member of AIU and for all the regulated programs by the relevant authorities. AICTE is a body which regulates the AFFILIATED colleges to various universities not the universities themselves. Coming to Jobs:
More than 700 companies visit the campus and hire thousands of students through over 900 placement drives. A huge number of former students work in government sector in India as well as many other countries. So there is no problem of any job after graduating from LPU. DVD. -

5 years agoHello dear, AICTE is a body which regulates the AFFILIATED colleges who are under the affiliation of various universities but not the universities themselves. Coming to Jobs overseas:
First of all if you are seeking a job in India then you must be aware of the fact that more than 650 companies visit the campus and hire thousands of students through over 900 placement drives. A huge number of former students work in government sector in India as well as many other countries. So there is no problem of any job after graduating from LPU. I hope this will help you. -
UGC is the apex body that approves universities in the country. The AICTE is only a statutory body, which deals with co-ordinated development and proper planning of the technical education system in the country. LPU is a well renowned university recognised by UGC, providing quality education, innovative pedagogy and unbeatable placements both national and international. LPU provides a great academic exposure to its students. It provides a chance to the students to attend guest lectures or workshops, so that they get to learn as much as they can. The students also work on live projects, so that they are able to apply their knowledge to...more

Of course, you will surely get a job abroad if you study at LPU because the LPU programmes are UGC approved and are valid across the globe. As far as the AICTE approval is concerned, it is not needed. According to supreme court, AICTE approval is only needed to the institutions, not to the UGC approved universities.

Hi, Yes, of course. You will not face any problems because LPU is UGC-approved. If a university is UGC approved then AICTE approval is not required. It has other accreditation also like Association Of Indian Universities (AIU), Council Of Architecture (COA), National Council For Teacher Education (NCTE), Pharmacy Council Of India (PCI), Indian Council Of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Bar Council Of India (BCI), The Institution Of Engineers (India), Institute Of Town Planners, India (ITPI) as well as International Memberships. LPU students are working across the globe. So, don't worry. Thanks.

Lovely Professional University is recognised by many Accreditation councils of India & thoroughly recognised by UGC in 2006. AICTE approval is not required for a university to run a course in technical education as has been held by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in its judgment CWP2056 of 1999 titled BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY & ANR. V/S ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION & ORS, and various other cases. Being alumni I must recommend Lovely Professional University for pursuing Engineering courses. In LPU, B.Tech. Hey, so for LPU's end-term exam in Physical Education, you need at least 30% marks in the end-term itself, plus an overall 40% combining continuous assessment and end-term. That's the standard across their PE programs, and they've got a cool holistic review if you hit the aggregate but miss the end-term bit—super fair way to keep things student-friendly. Attendance stays key at 75% min, which makes sense for staying active in sports stuff. LPU really nails this balance, helping folks like us push through without harsh cutoffs, way better for building real fitness skills. No wonder it's a top pick—keeps motivation high and stress lo
The Physical Efficiency Test (LPUPET) of LPU for the 2025 admissions into PE/sports programs was conducted in several schedules, with the latest being on August 26, 2025 (Schedule VI). Hey guys, so I checked the official LPU site for the BPEd course fee, and for the first year, it's around INR1 Lacs to INR1.09 lakhs, covering tuition at INR50,000 per semester plus exam fees of about INR4,500-INR5,000 each. That's super reasonable for a top-notch programme with awesome sports facilities and scholarships up to 60% if you score well in LPUNEST—like INR96,000 off per semester for high performers. LPU really makes it accessible without compromising quality, way better value than many places I've seen. Total for two years is INR2-2.18 lakhs, but first-year payment is straightforward via UPI or whatever. If you're into ph
