Although NEET forms the major entrance examination in most of the Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) admissions in India, including those offered under the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) All India Quota some veterinary courses can be pursued without NEET or state CETs. Admission into some of the private colleges /universities is through their own entrance examinations or on a direct basis on the basis of marks scored in the 12th examination with a heavy bias on studying Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
