  • No, to get admission to a Bachelor of Arts (BA) programme at Banaras Hindu University you need to appear in an entrance exam: Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The national-level exam is conducted  by the National Testing Agency (NTA). BHU doesn't conduct a separate entrance exam for BA programs anymore.

Yes, Banaras Hindu University accepts CUET-UG entrance exam scores for admission to BA (Hons) course. Earlier, admission to the UG course was through BHU UET. Moreover, only the candidates who have valid CUET-UG scores become eligible to register for the counselling round. The CUET application process is carried out in online mode (cuet.samarth.ac.in). Further, NTA conducts CUET-UG 2024 entrance test. The exam is scheduled between May 15 and May 31.
