The IAS test consists of 48 subjects in total. Every year, UPSC gives all candidates the opportunity to choose their subject from a list of optional subjects published in the IAS notice. There are 25 subjects to pick from, as well as 23 literature languages subjects. For more information please refer to Alchemy IAS website.
