You can upgrade your programme from CSE to CSE (Hons) but you will have to meet the eligibility criteria for the programme. The eligibility for CSE (Hons) is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics Mathematics and English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST or JEE Main. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium.

In order to shift from CSE to CSE Hons, I would recommend checking the eligibility from the website, An Engineering programme that seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects for building the problem-solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place. Students will develop competence in areas like programming, Database Management Systems, Networks and Security, Operating Systems, Cloud Computing, etc. B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering is related to algorithms, computation, programming languages, programme design, computer hardware, computer software, etc.

    Hi there,
Of course, you can change from CSE to CSE hons in the first year or after first year. Let me tell you in almost all the B Tech courses, the syllabus is almost the same. So it does not make much of a difference even if you transfer from branch to another. Moreover, the CSE and CSE Hons subjects are almost same. The major difference one can wintesss only in the later years. So you can do it safely. However you will have to check eligibility and seat availability too.

Dear Aspirant, As far as I know, you have to talk with the concerned department at LPU through email or personally to know about the eligibility. They will check your eligibility for the same. After fulfilling the eligibility criteria, you can change your stream from CSE to CSE (Hons. ). I hope this helps
    Good Luck!

Dear, LPU offers 200+ programmes and B.Tech is one of them. To get into LPU's B.Tech, you need to pass 10+2 with Physics, Math, and English (or equivalent) with at least 60% aggregate, plus qualify in the LPUNEST entrance exam (or show strong JEE Main/CUET scores). Specific streams like CSE-Software Product Engineering have extra steps like a KQ Test and Interview.
