Can we give NDA exam after 12th with commerce stream?

5 years agoYes, you are eligible to appear in the exam. -
First, you have to clear the written test of the NDA which is scheduled twice in a year. Then after clearing it you will be called for a 5 day SSB which is an overall personality test. You need to be very well prepared for it. And after that there will be medical and finally merit list will be out and around 300 will be selected. Keep in mind. Don't take it light and prepare very well. Be confident enough and your gonna crack it. -

6 years agoDefinitely, NDA is an option for commerce student. Any male candidate who have passed 12th from any stream is eligible for NDA. But the criteria for all the branches of defense are different. For Air Force and Navy the candidate must have passed 12th with Physics and Maths as subject combination. BUT for Army there is no restriction as such. Being a commerce student you are eligible for Army through NDA. The age limit should be 16.5-19 years. Check out the website of UPSC to know about the previous year papers and also for the next tentative date for NDA notification.

After passing 12th standard with commerce, you can join only Indian army through NDA & to join it you need to appear in NDA entrance examination conducted by UPSC twice in a year.
-To write NDA exam, your age should be in between 16 1/2 to 19 years.
-Only unmarried male candidates can appear in this exam & must have Indian citizenship.

NDA salary from Lt. Col level 12A is between INR 1,21,200 to 2,12,400. The same for Col. level 13 is INR 1,39,600-2,17,600. It is INR 1,44,200-2,18,200 for Maj General Level 14.
NDA salary for Lt. Level 10 is INR 56, 100 to 1,77,500. The salary for Capt. level 10 B is INR 61,300-1,93,900. NDA Salary for Major Level 11 is INR 69,400-2,07,200.
NDA admit card is released one week before the exam day. NDA 1 hall ticket is expected in April. The call letter for NDA 2 will be released in September. Candidates can download their admit cards online only.
