Can you explain the type of questions asked in GATE paper?

<p>The GATE questions are designed to test the following abilities-&nbsp;</p><ol><li><strong>Recall</strong> - These type of questions are based on the facts, principles, formulae, or laws in the discipline of the paper. The candidates are expected to be able to obtain the answer either from the memory of the subject or atmost from a one-line computation.</li><li><strong>Comprehension </strong>- These questions will test candidate's understanding on the basics of their field, by requiring them to draw simple conclusions from fundamental ideas.</li><li><strong>Applications -</strong> In this type of questions, candidates must apply their knowledge either through computation or by logical reasoning.&nbsp;</li><li><strong>Analysis and Synthesis</strong> - These type of questions will contain diagrams, data, images, etc. where candidates will have to analyse before answering a question.
