Hello Sneha,
Topics for GD will be about current affairs. Mainly focusing on Indian and Railway Budget 2016. Also refer EPF tax controversy as well. If you dont know the topic which is discussed then look for others to start and after you get the details start from your end. Be confident and dont be Offensive. -
The GD topics will be mainly current affairs plus your CV . Also be ready with basic b-school questions as to why MBA and your career plans etc. Also it can be an abstract topic. As a fresher,i'll suggest that you should be well prepared with your CV and basic knowledge of subjects from Graduation and what projects and extra circular you have written in your CV. Hope it helps.

Do cover all the current business topics, go through daily business newspapers or at least the business section, what all is happening in the banking industry, various basic products of banks and their features ( like the interest rates of different accounts ). Also do cover current affairs for gd-pi. It will also help you in the WAT round. WAT topics may vary, it may be science, technology, social issues, politics, corporate system, general discussion related topics. Start reading daily newspaper. All that will be checked will be your writing skills, your english and your knowledge about the topic.

Hi Sneha,
That's a very common, but challenging, question. One thing you have to do for sure is read newspapers every day. By read, I mean that you have to understand the story. During GD-PI, the focus is more on what are the thoughts or opinions you generate with regards to current key topics. So if you don't understand what a news story is all about, you won't be able to have a strong, fact-based opinion. As Fiona mentioned, business, politics, technology and the recent budget (very important) are among the key things. Also keep a lookout for trade-related news.
Here are the topics I had when I appeared for GD-PI:
