    Yes, CLAT (in this case) is necessary. It is also imperative to be a top scorer since it is the most sought after NLU.
    Do self-study or join a coaching class.

    Yes,you have to attempt CLAT and be among the top 57 students to get into NLSIU. Your preparations should be based on the pattern of exam and type of questions asked. For more details refer to official website of CLAT.

The MNLU CLAT Cutoff 2026 was released for admission to various law courses for the students under the All India quota. For the General AI category, the closing cutoff ranged from 1424 to 1737, wherein BALLB (Hons) was the toughest course for admission for this category. The DSNLU CLAT Cutoff 2026 was released for all categories belonging to the All India and Home State quota. The cutoff was released in the form of opening and closing ranks for admission to BA LLB (Hons) and LLM course. 

According to the Round 1 closing ranks for the General AI category, the cutoff ranged from 1279 to 1281, wherein, LLM course had the tougher competition for admission. 

In the case of General HS quota, the closing ranks in Round 1 were between 4290 and 4657, with BA LLB (Hons) course being the popular course, different than the General AI quota the hardest course.
