No, JEE main 2026 marks are not mandatory to get admission into B.E Programe at Chandigarh University. While Chandigarh University does not accept JEE Main scores and offers attractive scholarships based on all India Rank, Students who have not appeared for JEE or do not fall within the scholarship rank bracket can still apply through CUCET, Chandigarh University's own entrance exam. The main selection route for B.Tech / B.E. at CU is the CUCET (Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test).
CU clearly states that all candidates for engineering (and other major courses) must take CUCET — admissions are “entrance‑based” via CUCET (or very rarely via exemption) — not direct.
The eligibility for appearing in CUCET: passing 10+2 with required marks in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics).
