Ashish, these days emphasis is on both CSE and Mech. But it also depends upon your interest. If you are somebody who wants to sit in an AC office then of course CSE is for you but if you are somebody who doesn't mind working in the harsh conditions, then Mech. is very good option. Dear Ashish, LPU is an international university with top placement records and world class infrastructure. I recommend you LPU to pursue Mechanical Engineering. As per NIRF-2020 ranking, LPU is amongst the top 100 institutes of India. Mechanical engineering is the discipline that applies engineering physics, engineering mathematics, and materials Science principles to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems. Here I am haring the major placement highlights of this university. LPU is good in case of placement but if we talk about the placement in Mechanical branch. In Mech. The no of students placed in Core company like Bosch, Maruti, Jindel Steel, Honda, Cheema Boilers etc. If we take a look of last year students placed in recent batch:- 1. My cousin done diploma from LPU and he got placed in Maruti Suzuki with handsome package. The LPU has tie ups with more than 700 companies for academics and placements of students. Hello! LPU offers a very extensive and well-designed mechanical engineering course. An Engineering program which seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects for building the problem solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place for Design, Manufacturing, Thermal etc. specialization.The Mechanical Engineering department had the most ideal study environment since I have two friends from that stream. The labs and workspace at LPU School of Mechanical Engineering, was fully equipped with all the necessary machinery that was required for our wholesome learning. While doing my B. Tech at LPU, we were provided with many opportunities to get national as well as international exposure. While at the university, every now and then we were allowed to attend conferences and talk sessions conducted by many august personas who have achieved much in the field of science and engineering. I, a regular student, didn't do much research work while I was there, but many of my friends got the opportunity to present their research papers at international congregations, which is a fine accomplishment for any engineering student. Friendly professors, alumnus of the top engineering colleges of the country were always very supportive of our study techniques and provided professional advice whenever we needed help, rather than mindlessly leaving us hanging! Engineering is naturally tough and with the scope of engineering now merging into the business stream, with B.Tech students opting to go into MBA and other commercial streams, the faculty members at the Department will be able to help you make the decision that is right for you! LPU has also been ranked among top 100 by NIRF ranking recently. You were asking about the status of LPU Mechanical engineering, right.
