Does academic marks affect the percentile? I have got 8.4 CGPA in 10th and 67% in 12th.

Yes, it affects, but the amplitude depends on college to college. Each college provide their respective weight-age on their website example IIM Indore gives very high weight-age to your past academics (even more than CAT whereas IIM Kozhikode gives a low weight-age to past academic record. So, you can check on each college website what are their weightage for past academics and prepare accordingly. This would help you to keep realistic goals.

See, you have got a good percentage in class 10 but your class 12 percentage might affect but don't think for past just improve in your graduation and score good percentile in CAT.
