LPU provides a very healthy environment for research and development in all areas of the discipline. Let me share something about the Ph.D. programme at LPU. LPU is composed of the best faculty members from IIMs, IITs, and the other best B schools. The majority of faculty members have PhDs or are pursuing the same. After that, you have to qualify for the LPUNEST exam if you have not qualified for a national-level test such as GATE, UGC NET, CSIR, GPAT, etc. The entrance will have 70% weightage in selection. After that, you have to appear for an interview, qualify for the same, and have 30% weightage for the final selection. You may also avail of scholarships on the basis of the LPUNEST, or National Level Test. There is a special scholarship for female students to pursue a full-time or part-time Ph.D. at LPU. The faculty is extensively working on the research, and the students are also helping them in this regard. The faculty members are burning the midnight oil to meet the requirements of the curriculum as well as those of the students. One of the most interesting things is that very recently LPU has proposed an app through which the students could communicate their grievances, discussions, or other material that could also be uploaded by the professors. I believe this is the best platform where the students could, at any point in time, discuss anything with their faculty members. This would also lead to a better understanding between both levels. Research papers, book chapters, and patents are protagonists in the lives of professors, so this could also reduce the gap between professors and students. LPU has also collaborated with foreign faculty members, so the students are also getting the opportunity to interact with them.

Lovely Professional University is conducting a National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST) for PhD aspirants. Students studying in Post-Graduation can apply for LPUNEST (PhD). Since its inception in 2009, more than 50,000 students are appearing in this exam (LPUNEST) every year. Dear Devansshu, Yes, LPU offers a part-time Ph.D. As per my opinion, a part-time Ph.D. is best for working professionals, LPU also takes care of their students, especially in the case of a part-time Ph.D. such as they manage their work-study balance. Moreover, you will get flexible course work there. Let me share about the Ph.D. course work then I will share about eligibilty. Both Full Time & Part-time Ph.D. programs are available in LPU. In Case of Ph.D. Part-Time programme, applicants are required to submit a NOC (No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of admission. Other than Engineering disciplines, Students who have done their Masters in Distance Mode, are eligible for the Ph.D. programme. The duration of the Ph.D. programme will be a minimum of 3 Years & a Maximum of 6 Years (2 Years extra relaxation is also there for the female students).
