In some courses its compulsory to appear and qualify that particular exam the courses like B.Tech, B.Arch and MBA, but in courses like B.A. B.Com BBA its not necessary to appear in LPU NEST if you want scholarship then you can apply for the same but you are interested in that also then there in no need to appear in the exam called LPU NEST.

LPU awards scholarships based on LPU NEST scores. However, the criteria differ from programme to programme. LPU also offers scholarships based on grade 12 exams. If you have any further questions, come visit us on campus or call, chat or email us.

Yes, only one of them will be considered for your scholarship amount and whichever score gives your better scholarship that will be considered.

Yes, you will get the scholarship from both the ends if you are having good marks in your 12th and also if you got the required rank in LPU-NEST exam. Accordingly you will get the scholarship.

Hey, so from what I've checked on LPU's official site, the NEST counselling is mainly done online, which is super convenient for us students anywhere in India. You just log in after your results, pick your preferred courses and seats based on your rank, and lock it all in digitally—no need to travel right away.
It's got this smooth flow: download your scorecard, fill choices online, get seat allotment via merit, pay the initial fee (like INR20,000) through net banking or UPI, then submit docs later. LPU makes it flexible too, letting you pay offline at campus if you prefer, but the core process stays online for quick access.

Yeah, LPU totally releases the LPU NEST counselling dates on their official site—it's super organized and student-friendly. For 2026, they've got it starting February 8th onwards for B.Tech, with online seat preferences from Feb 8-10, results on 12th, and admissions up to late Feb. Results drop quick, like within 24-48 hours post-exam, so you can jump right into counselling without waiting forever.
It's all online mostly, through nest.lpu.in, where you update choices and get allotments based on your score—makes it easy from anywhere. No offline hassle unless you want campus visits for fees. LPU keeps everything updated live, way
