The curriculum may or may not be helpful to your career. In reality, there is only 20% of the total strength of the department who are able to be placed in companies where they get chance to work in their respective education. Coming to teaching, there are very good professors who are ready to learn new things with you and share their industrial experience. Indeed those lessons will be helpful only to a minimal extent for placements. The curriculum will be helpful up to 70% for National Level exams like GATE.
