How are the BSc scholarships for Computer Science at Bangalore University?

<p>Any student can avail only one scholarship or financial benefit at a time. Student can choose the more beneficial among the available. Those students who are availing the free (Non-paying) University hostel are not eligible for any other free ship, scholarship, either from the University or Government.</p><ol><li>Government of India Post-Metric Scholarships are available to Karnataka students belonging to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes. The SC/ST candidates (Allotted to affiliated Government Colleges) within Karnataka and whose parents annual income is less than or equal to 2,50,000/- (Rupees Two Lacs fifty thousand only) are eligible to claim the Day Scholarships /Hostel Scholarships from the&nbsp;Social Welfare Department.</li></ol><p>MINISTRY OF SOCIAL JUSTICE &amp; EMPOWERMENT, GOVERNMENT OF INDIA &ndash; SCHEME OF POST MATRIC SCHOLARSHIPS TO THE STUDENTS BELONGING TO SCHEDULED CASTES/SCHEDULED TRIBES&nbsp;social justice.nic.in</p><p>Conditions of Eligibility</p><p>Candidates who after passing one stage of education are studying in the same stage of education in different subject will not be eligible.</p><p>VI. &ldquo;Hon&rsquo;ble Vice Chancellor&rsquo;s Merit Scholarship&rdquo; was implemented for meritorious students (1^st&nbsp;to 5^th&nbsp;Ranks) who come under Below Poverty Line as defined by the Government of Karnataka. This scholarship is of Rs. 500/- each per month for 10 months for each year, to each Department of Bangalore University, Bangalore. BPL as defined by Government orders from Government of Karnataka. Application forms to be procured from Director of Student Welfare Office and should be forwarded by the head of the Department enclosing relevant income certificate and BPL card signed by the concerned Government authority. Students coming under payment category, Self financing course and those who are admitted for second PG Course are not eligible for this Scholarship, an Affidavit to be enclosed declaring that they are not Double PG and not coming under payment category, Self Financing course and those who are admitted for second PG Course are not eligible for this Scholarship. Students who have claimed any other scholarships are not only eligible for this scholarship. This scholarship is administered by the University.</p>

Bangalore University offers different types of scholarships to deserving students. Interested candidates can avail of only one scholarship or financial benefit at a time. Types of scholarships offered at Bangalore University are as follows: - Special Scholarships for Children of Government Employees/University Employees - Post-Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship of University Grants Commission (UGC) for Single Girl Child - Honourable Vice Chancellors Merit Scholarship - Scloraships for candidates belonging to minorities group - Government of India Post-Metric Scholarships to Karnataka students.

There are two kinds of scholarships offered at IIITB : Performance based. This scholarship is offered after 1st year to students who get CGPA more than 3.6 out of 4. Need based. This scholarship is provided to those students whose parents have an income of less than 5 LPA.
