There are two branches of petroleum studies. 1- Upstream: It is related to the extraction and mining of crude oil and gas. 2- Downstream: It is related to the processing of crude oil and the further processing of by-products or petrochemicals. The faculty is good at Aligarh Muslim University. The teachers are very helpful at Aligarh Muslim University. The faculty of Aligarh Muslim University is highly qualified and experienced. The course is the same as chemical engineering with an added specialisation in petrochemicals. If we talk about faculty, well in mechanical some teachers which are in common with petrochemical are fine. You will find faculty fine. But some teachers will be good enough they teach in good manner not all. But if u have passion to get something m sure that they will help u out surely now if we talk about infra In first year all branches go through same labs and workshops which are very good having good instruments and machinery after first year petrochemical follow their labs mostly and few in common labs are well maintained with good machineries and instruments with some advanced machines.
