Dear Gaurav, I can't tell about the placements of Chandigarh University, As I am alumni of Lovely Professional University, I can discuss about LPU placements, studies etc. Lovely Professional University (LPU) has become India's first private university to get ICAR accreditation This shows the strength and credibility of the department and school as a whole. Few points told by my known who did her studies from LPU that will help you to make your decision:
School of Agricultural sciences is one of the fastest growing school of Agriculture in the entire region and India. It is being rated as among Punjab and India's Best Agriculture colleges. Students are exposed to Commercial farms to get know-how that create an opportunity for students to engage and tone up their endurance, confidence and management skills. The university has well-equipped laboratories, library, lecture rooms and excellent farm facility to conduct agricultural experiments. Students learn about the latest advancements in the field of agriculture, disease resistance, fertilizers and, insecticides with extensive fieldwork and field trips preparing them for the evergreen field of agriculture. The best thing is the University does not compromise with the academics as all the lectures are held and if a faculty wants a leave either the makeup lectures are planned or adjustments are provided for that particular slot. LPU focuses on quality education a lot and all the professors of LPU are highly qualified and friendly, LPU also focuses on practical knowledge a lot and agriculture students of LPU has to go through various such practical tasks and projects which makes it very easy to understand the concepts and develop a deep knowledge of the subjects. Through the Rural Agriculture Work Experience (RAWE) programme the students develop a real-time understanding of conventional agriculture methods and effective dissemination of knowledge to the farmers. In order to provide a basic understanding of emerging problems and technologies involved in agriculture, field visits are conducted to neighboring farms, orchards, and nurseries. University provides additional placement oriented classes and students also studied subjects like analytical skills, soft skills, etc.etera as part of the curriculum to prepare the students for all types of competitive exams. I would like to name a few companies that visit LPU- Nestle, VLCC Health Care, HDFC, Rallis India, SYNGENTA INDIA LTD, WIPRO LIMITED, and many other firm.
