How are the placements of B.Tech in CSE from DIT University?

DIT is good for three branches mainly CSE, IT and ECE. The placement is good there. Last year Amazon hired three people at 25 LPA. The major recruiters hire mainly these three branches. Around 90-95% of students from CSE/IT department gets placed in some or the other companies. The package could be as low as 2.8 Lacs or it could be high as 25 Lakhs (although only 2 students got that in the entire history), but students at least got a job. Few of the reputed (core CSE) companies which visited the campus in the past few years are Adobe, Amazon, HP, Hike Messenger, etc. Other than this, there are certain other companies such as Ivy Computech, Josh Technologies which also provide a handsome salary. The mass recruiters such as Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant visits every year to recruit a bulk of students. Most of the companies which visit the campus are CSE or IT companies so these two branches have a huge number of opportunities here. Computer Science Engineering is among the best course of Engineering in every terms. Coming to thehe placements at DIT University of Computer Science Engineering is really very good. The placement ratio is almost 90% Placements. The average package is around 8 to 9 lakhs per annum. Since this Branch CSE is among evergreen field, the Placements of this Branch will increase with good amount of packages. Company like TATA Motors, Tech Mahindra, Reliance Industries and L&T are taken students for internships programme and Placements. Other than these companies, many companies like ITC, P&G, HCL Technologies, Infosys, TCS Sun pharma, Apollo, Ultratech, etc. takes students from here. This all credit goes to Training and Placement Cell Department of DIT University. So, thus it is really good to do Computer Science Engineering from reputed University like this. So, thus the placement ratio of DIT University is almost 90% and in future it will be like this only for Computer Science Engineering and other top Engineering fields.

Average package observed is 4 LPA and highest is 16 LPA over the years dor CSE students. Last year, 95% students got placed in various IT bases roles. DIT has been excelling in placements in quality as well as in numbers making it outstanding year after year. Strong Placement Network with an impeccable record of placements. Dehradun Institute of Technology University is one of the best private university or college in Dehradun. DIT University is among the most famous colleges in Dehradun but overall it has an average placement record in all the branches. Below are the facts supporting the same: I will start by listing the pros and cons of placements at DIT: Pros: 1. About 90% batch placement. Cons: 1. The training and placement cell although works a lot to attract companies, but fails to train students to get through interviews, and so students are on their own during placements. 2. Majority of placements are in IT companies. Few of the companies that visit the college are: NEC Technologies Pvt. Ltd., CyberTech, Software Pvt. Ltd., Fonantrix Solutions LLC, Manikaran Power Limited, Phronesis-Partners Inc., SaaS Force Consulting Pvt. Ltd., Ashok Leyland, Think Skills Consulting Pvt. Ltd., Wipro Technologies Limited, Wittybrains Software Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Expert Scan Consultants Pvt. Ltd., Noida Power Company Limited, Kuehne+Nagel Pvt. Ltd., Reliance Industries Limited, Derrick Petroleum Services and Lares Softech Pvt. Ltd. The highest placement package of 2017 was 27 LPA by Amazon India. The college provides an average placement package of 3.5-4 LPA.

The placements at DIT are average but still better than many private colleges. Here is the breakdown of types of companies recruiting and packages offered - Mass recruiters. They will hire just about anyone in your batch who can type, talk, and reason, almost as good as the next person. Cut-off at about 6065% of total UG score, 70% of your batch will be eligible and when seated in a row, look left, look right, one of you will not make it of three. Avg. package - 3.25LPA. These include Infosys, Wipro and Cognizant. Although the word around the campus is that the contract of Infosys ends this year and TCS will be coming to campus from next year. BPO. They are mostly telemarketing firms and come in two slots around the year with a huge intake in mind. One of its kind pays an average 1 LPA above mass recruiters and other kind pays 1 LPA below. Eligibility - All branches. Dream Companies. Depending on your bubble and your luck, it will either of Adobe (again the rumor has it that they won't be coming anytime soon now), HP Research, Ericson (although it hasn't been on campus for quite some years), Mahindra, L&T. Package ranges from 59 LPA on avg. Eligibility: varies Surprise giants. From time to time companies like Amazon, Hike and likes grace our campus. This year it was Amazon, but no one made it. I wouldn't consider Josh Technology a giant but still, it was a pleasant surprise this year. Fillers. These are the scavenger firms, that come at strategic moments when students are lucky to have a company still coming after all the rejections and are ready to sell their souls for 2-3 LPA and tireless slogging at less than meaningless jobs.

It is outstanding year after year. The college offers: Strong placement network with an impeccable record of placements. Long term relationship with potential recruiters and blue chip companies. Industrial Collaborations with blue chip Companies. More than 89% placements in last ten years Strong Industry Interface Effective industry interaction Monthly Industrial visit to impart realistic and practical knowledge Live projects in collaboration with industries DIT is famous for its placements for CSE branch students. Around 90% of the lot from CSE branch gets placed having you are an average or above average student. Not only the common companies like Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant come for the campus recruitment but also HP, Amazon and Hike come for the same who in turn also gives healthy packages to the selected students. For 2016 pass out students (my batch), CSE and related branch were the luckiest for they have seen maximum of companies coming to recruit them but other branches were in doom. There hardly comes any company comes for civil or electrical. If you are in mechanical and want to get a core job, it won’t be a cup of tea. There will be very limited opportunities if you want to take any other branch than CSE and IT.
