    Placements: The placements in core chemical were very good. Around 30% people got placed in core companies. Some of the core companies which came to campus for placements were HPCL, Honeywell, Schlumberger, ReckitBenkister, Johnsson, and Mathew. Apart from this, many got placed in consulting firms like ZS Associates and many got into IT jobs. Core companies like Honeywell, Reliance and Schlumberger do visit the campus, although they choose only the best of the best. Most of the students get placed. The average CTC is around 7 LPA for chemical engineering. Schlumberger offers the highest package. Most of the students actually interested

    BITS Pilani I think this is itself becoming a brand and one of the best choice for student after IIT and NIT in private engineering college. This is the only college which has a potential to be in top rank among all IIT & NIT. One of the best parts of this college is there is no reservation policy so only a talented students can take admission here so it becomes much easier for the company. In college there is a rule that is no one company can enter the college which has a salary less than Rs 6 Lakh so only a good companies can come for placement.
    Average placement salary for a chemical engineer is Rs 7-8 lakh per annum.

    There are companies like Schlumberger, Cairn, Exxonmobile, UOP Honeywell, Shell, Zuari Industries, Unilever,Hindalco,
    Pokarna, ABB, Dow Chemicals, SABIC, Derrick Petroleum, Reddy labs, ATE India, etc. which visits the campus for recruitment.

No, you cannot get admission at BITS Pilani with 60% marks. As per the eligibility criteria students must qualify Class 12 with 75% marks from the recognised board. It is mandatory for students to qualify the eligiblity criteria. The institute also accepts admission based on the entrance exams.
