How are the placements of BE in Mechanical Engineering from Army Institute of Technology?

Almost everyone gets placed with an average package of around 4.8 LPA.

Army Institute of Technology college was set up when B.C. Joshi, PVSM AVSM, ADC (19351994), the then Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army, saw the need for an engineering college for the children of all ranks of the Indian Army. His view was that children of army personnel were disadvantaged as far as education was concerned due to the direct consequence of soldiers serving under difficult conditions in remote areas where educational facilities are not always available. The placements have always been great when it came to Army Institute. Let's take the last year's data to prove this point. In 2017, the institute placed 93% students of the batch. The average salary that was offered to the students was 5.4 lac per annum, whereas, the highest package offered to the students varied from 24 lac, 21 lac, 17 lac, 15 lac and 13 lac. The number of industries that visited the campus was 76 and the largest recruiter amongst them was Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). Army Institute of Technology is considered in top 3 ranks in Pune University for placements.
