How big is the LPU campus?

Lovely Professional University (LPU) takes pride of being an ultra-modern high-tech campus sprawling over 600 acres on the Grand Trunk (get) Road at the entry of Jalandhar City, Punjab. It is the largest single campus university in India (including government. And Private Sector), with more than 30,000 students from across the world, 4000 faculty and staff. Apart from this, the Science programs which are offered include Agriculture, Food Technology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Forensic Sciences, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry Physics Mathematics and Computer Application. Faculty of Business & Arts:It offers programs in Management, Commerce, Economics, Law, Hotel Management & Tourism, Architecture, Planning, Design including Fashion, Multimedia & Animation, Journalism & Film Production, Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Teacher Education, Sports Education, Foreign Languages and all disciplines of social sciences. Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences:The faculty includes Pharmaceutical Sciences, Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical Sciences, Physiotherapy and Medical Laboratory Sciences. I am a alumni of LPU and I can tell you take it is actually a good place for ambitious and focused people to study in. If you want to explore, learn, grow and want to get placed in good companies then I must say please go ahead and take admission. LPU is not only the largest university of the country but also the university with the most diverse student population. Learning in LPU will make you a truly global citizen. If I talk about Infrastructure, LPU's campus is one of the largest lush green campuses of India which is spread over 600+ acres. Gym, Hi-Speed 24 Hrs free Wi-Fi service, Swimming pool. Very good central Library of 6 floors and huge collection of text-books and reference books. The campus has its own hospital, hotel, and a mall. The classes are well-designed with all the latest amenities available. The first time I visited the campus I had no idea how big the campus would be, I want prepared to witness such a huge walk down but later got used to it. I would say be prepared to witness muscle pain in initial few days if you are not used to physical exercise on regular bases. It provides all the facilities inside campus, let it be from restaurants, eateries, grooming facilities, ATMs, bowling alley, hospital, banks, and post-offices, Hospitals are available. LPU has its own 8 storey mall which has shops for literally everything including gadgets and a departmental store like WH SMITH LPU's infrastructure is one of the biggest & best in the World. LPU is growing it's size every year. They have taken a lots of lands around the campus and they are expanding every year. In my opinion it is more than 1000 acres by now. Because 7 years back they used to tell us it was 600acre campus, but I have seen the sheer size they grown into now. If you have visited 57 blocks then I sure you came to know about how big the campus is. Although Campus is really attractive, Definitely you will fall in love with the campus. I am sure you will never feel regret after taking admission in LPU. Thank You.

LPU is Spread over 700+ acres of land, LPU is one of India's the largest universities which include various student services within the campus. I visited it a few months back and had no idea about its vastness. It is a huge, well-maintained university. Its almost like a mini town. It has a world class healthcare unit within its campus which is 24x7 operational. I feel that LPU campus is one of the safest campuses maintained by over 400 full-time security professionals, most of whom are experienced ex-military personnel. I was surprised to SEE the diverse dining and shopping options available within the university campus. There is a state-of-the-art 8-storey mall which has shops of all possible needs, departmental stores, and gadget stores too. Diverse options of dining are also available within the campus, which range from traditional Indian sweets to modern coffee shops. Most importantly, it has various banks with more than 50 ATMs inside the campus; hence, students need not go outside for any kind of transactions. The campus of LPU is so vast that it has its own postal code and office. I would recommend you to visit this university once if you are planning to get admission for yourself or your anyone else.

Lovely Professional University is really good University. Right from the teachers to placements, everything amazing and taken care of. I really feel as alumni of LPU, that it is one of the best institution and really works hard to better its students in every way possible. I owe it all to LPU. Lovely Professional University (LPU), situated in Phagwara, in Punjab, India was established in 2005 and started welcoming students in 2006. LPU has got a huge 600+ acre campus with an infrastructure that is one of the best in the world. It is a whole new world in itself with all the facilities present inside the campus. The security here is best with more than 400 highly trained security personnel and 7000+ CCTV cameras. LPU has also got a Fire Station of its own with very well-trained firemen. Apart from that, it has multiple beautiful university gardens, big auditoriums, big playgrounds, etc. At LPU you have the access to almost all the sports like baseball, basketball, archery, American football, etc. There are banks, a post office, and a mall as well commonly known as university-Mall for students so that they can get all the necessary items, all in one place.

Let me just share the details of this magnificent campus. The university campus spreads over 600 acres (2.4 km2) in boundary on the outskirts of Jalandhar. The green environment is super conducive to learning. LPU hosts one of the largest set of laboratories. There is a Museum containing demonstration of Projects. There is Polyhouse Technology A climate controlled cultivation (Hi-tech farming) of horticultural crops for high yield and quality production. Multimedia Studio for Science, Research and InnovationLPU has three auditoriums - Baldev Raj Mittal Unipolis (seating capacity 20000+), Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium (seating capacity 2500) and university Auditorium (seating capacity 350). These auditoriums are widely used to host the events of international and national repute. The University has 2 amphitheatres which are used to organize cultural events, competitions, plays and the like. These amphitheatres are also used by regional and national film makers as location for their movies and songs. There is Aviation Lab, cultural labs, university hospital, in house laundry.
