NTA organize the UGC NET twice in a year in the month of June and December. Before appearing in the Library and Information Science (Code No. 59) you must fulfil all the UGC NET eligibility criteria. UGC NET exam is divided into two papers. Paper-1 is a compulsory subject for all the candidates whereas, Paper-2 is the optional which a candidate chooses according to their Master’s degree subject or the related subject.
