How can one get admission in LPU? Is it by just clearing the eligibility percentage or will there be a cutoff for admission for all student?

Hi there, you are eligible for all streams. I will give you a brief overview of LPUs programs. The eligibility for B Tech, and hons programs such as BBA Hons, B.Sc. Hons and B.Com (Hons) programs is 60 percent. The eligibility for MBA is 55 percent, B.Com BCA and BBA is 50 percent. For B.A. The eligibility is pass marks in any discipline. As far as admission in Lovely Professional University is concerned, there are certain programs such as B Tech CSE, MBA and Hons programs in which you can get admission only if you qualify the entrance exam. Apart from that the programs such as BBA BCOMM, B.Sc. And B.A. Programs do not have mandatory entrance test as an eligibility, you can seek admission in these programs. However, you need to fulfil other eligibility conditions.

Hi See LPU offers more than 150 courses, and there is certain eligibility criteria that a student is required to meet to take admission. In general, the score in the previous qualification should be as required as per eligibility mentioned on the website. In addition to that, the candidate needs to qualify LPU NEST to get admission. For some courses LPU NEST is not mandatory. There are some courses for which the candidate needs to appear for an interview after qualifying LPU NEST. LPU NEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test) is a national level entrance test conducted by LPU. The aim of conducting the test is to check how far the concepts are clear to the student. LPU NEST is considered for offering Scholarship as well as determining Eligibility for admission in various programmes. So, it totally depends on the eligibility criteria for the course you wish to take admission to. To take admission your LPU NEST score must be more than the set qualifying marks at that time and to avail scholarship it should be more than the cut-off. LPU NEST Cutoff is the minimum marks applicants need to attain for admission at LPU. The cutoff is dependent on the number of candidates, number of vacant seats, marks obtained by candidates in the entrance exam cut off of last year. The cutoff is divided into three categories and the shortlisted candidates receive the scholarship based on their marks/cut off category. Scholarship can be availed in all the Programmes of the University, ranging from Diploma to Ph.D. through LPU NEST score, and various other schemes.
