How do I prepare for LPU NEST (I want CSE branch)? Is NCERT enough? What about English?

Dear Sameeksha, Try to study all the concepts from which question is asked in previous years LPU NEST if you get some time then solve the previous year LPU NEST questions which gives you an idea from where the question is asked. Solve a lot of online tests related to LPU NEST like JEE Mains, etc. Coming to English Syllabus: Grammar: Parts of speech Noun, Pronoun, Adjective, Adverb, Verb, Preposition, Conjunction Interjection; Tenses Present, Past and Future Tense in Active and Passive Form; Modal Verbs Can, Could, May, Might, Should, Will, Would, punctuation, independent and dependent clauses, sentence and its types, determiners Associative Language Skills: Vocabulary Antonyms, Synonyms, Homonyms, Homographs, one-word substitution, Word Analogies, Idioms, and Phrases. Common Errors: Sentence Correction and Error Finding Exercises Comprehension Passages: Closed and Open paragraphs, identifying key ideas or themes. Dear Samiksha, the level of LPU NEST is the same as that of your last qualification. LPU NEST is strictly based on your last qualification. Of course, verbal ability, analytical ability have been added. I am sure you do not need to get scared. The university has prepared ample documents to guide you in this regard. Go to the LPU NEST website. You will get all the information pertaining to LPU NEST such as syllabus, previous year question papers, sample papers etc. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Hi The sample papers, duration, format of the paper and marks distribution of LPU NEST for every course is provided in detail at the website. The syllabus and format of the paper is different for every course as LPU NEST is purely course specific. The aim of conducting the test is to check how far the concepts are clear to the student. LPU NEST is considered for offering scholarships as well as determining Eligibility for admission in various programmes. So, it totally depends on the eligibility criteria for the course you wish to take admission to. The scholarship availed by the candidate is applicable throughout the course duration. So you must try hard to perform well in the exam. LPU NEST is neither too simple nor too challenging. If you work hard and have a thorough understanding of the concepts covered in the LPU NEST. You will be able to crack the exam with a good score. LPU NEST is a fully MCQ test with no negative marking. If you aren't able to score well in the first attempt, you can avail one more chance to crack LPU NEST with a good score. , and the best of the two is considered. Don't worry you'll score well. LPU NEST is that tough exam neither that easy. But you can crack it if you plan it. NCERT is enough. If your concepts are clear and if there not. Then no book is enough for you hence make your concepts clear. Because LPU NEST is all about checking your abilities and concepts of understanding of your previous education. And if your worried you can check the LPU website. Everything is available there. You can solve their previous year's question paper and sample question from their website itself. And NCERT books are enough thou. If you have studied hard. Plus there is no negative marking in LPU NEST. LPU NEST Examination is very transparent in nature. This is a National Level test & this is like competitive type of Exam. Ranking of the students is actually get published after every phase of Exam. Student could prepare themselves by downloading Syllabus, Question Paper Pattern, Previous Years question paper, sample question etc. As per my experience, if any student study well & keep focus on subjects, LPU NEST will not be tough to them. There is a provision of taking up practice Test as well before final LPU NEST Exam. Student will get Excellent Scholarship based on the performance. During my study in LPU, I got the highest benefit of scholarship for all semesters throughout my study based on performance of LPU NEST only. Scholarship through LPU NEST depends upon the cut off set for the specific subject which is very nominal as per my understanding. So have faith on you & keep Practicing.

LPU NEST (Lovely Professional University National Eligibility & Entrance Test) is a National Level test conducted by LPU in Online Proctored mode this year. Means student can take up this exam online through any of the means Laptop / Desktop / Android Mobile phone. Every year almost 5 Lacs aspirants used to take up this Exam. For many purpose like Study Grant or Admission or Scholarship, more over capability index judgement. Valid score card of LPU NEST 2021 exam is mandatory for taking admission in most of the courses in LPU, but for some courses students could take direct admission. For both the cases, performance in LPU NEST would be considered for scholarship purpose also. Like for B.Tech. CSE LPU NEST is mandatory but for M.Tech. CSE it's not. You need to register yourself in the online portal of LPU & then apply online for the LPU NEST examination. LPU NEST Examination is very transparent in nature.
