GIBS placements stand out because many companies visit the campus every year.

Most PGDM students get placed successfully.

The average salary package is good compared to many PGDM colleges in Bangalore.

Students receive strong training in communication and interview skills.

The college focuses on practical, industry-oriented learning.

Recruiters come from different sectors, giving students more options.

This overall support helps students become job-ready.

GIBS provides a supportive environment for introverted or non-marketing oriented students to develop their placement potential through a focus on personalized mentoring and emphasising strengths rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Students will be assisted by the placement team and faculty in finding appropriate career paths in analytics, finance, human resources, operations, research, back-end consulting or corporate support functions where communication skills are crucial but aggressive sales techniques are not required. Mock interviews, aptitude training, resume development, domain-based skill development and one-to-one mentor

From my experience, it's honestly a lot more than I expected. The CPM/finishing school itself runs almost like a separate layer on top of PGDM — regular skill-building sessions, aptitude training, communication practice, mock GDs, mock interviews, resume work, plus recruiter-specific prep. From my experience, GIBS offers PGDM in Marketing, Finance, HR, Business Analytics, Entrepreneurship and a few more. The best part is that it is not just classroom theory. Most subjects come with some sort of practical exposure like fieldwork, company projects, startup activities, case studies, and industry sessions.

We also get guest lectures, corporate talks, and mentoring which makes it easier to connect academics with the market. Honestly, the hands-on learning helped me understand placements and career options better because you get a real idea of how things work in companies instead of only writing exams.
