How is Banaras Hindu University?

The Banaras Hindu University is rated 4.8 on the basis of the EDU Opinions rankings. The largest residential institution in Asia, BHU has over 30,000 students, 18,000 of whom live on campus. In the previous academic year, around 94.5% of the students were placed. The highest salary package offered at BHU this year was 28.7 LPA. Candidates at BHU get plenty of time to focus on their area of interest and pastime. However, I have heard that students really need to work hard for their semesters in faculty members like the scientific department. The food served at the BHU hostels is of good quality. There is Wi-Fi available in the hostel. The hostel's fees are affordable. Hostels are consistently maintained tidy. Asia's the largest library is the BHU Central Library. The best literature in the world are available for candidates to read. There is a computer lab where you can use the books and study till 11 pm. BHU has been ranked 6 under the 'University' category and 11 under the 'Overall' category by the NIRF 2022 rankings. It's easy to conclude that BHU is one of the best universities of India.

Placements : Almost 94.5% of the students got placed in the previous year. The highest salary package of 28.7 LPA, and it is offered by Myntra, and the average salary package offered is 8 LPA. The top recruiting companies of our course are TATA Steel, Tata Motors, Mecon (PSU), JSPL, Maruti, Yamaha, Vedanta, Reliance and Carborundum and these are core companies. A lot of non-core companies like Oyo, Myntra, Microsoft, Google, Goldman Sachs offer placements, and also many companies visit the college to offer placements. Infrastructure : Rooms in the hostel are quite decent, and canteens are available, which offer a variety of snacks. The mess food is hygienic with good taste. Huge varieties of food are available to meet the requirements of people coming from different parts of the country. There is high-speed Wi-Fi almost everywhere on the campus, and LAN speed has been recorded up to 1.6 Gbps. There is a huge library named as Sayaji Rao Gaekwad library, which is house to 1.3 million books. There are grand air-conditioned reading halls. Medical facilities are available more than sufficient with an ambulance on call (which arrives immediately). There is a health centre, which offers free treatment to the students. IMS BHU and Sir CP Sunderlal hospital are also located on the campus for greater complications. IIT BHU is one among the best to offer a variety of sports like cricket, football, badminton, weightlifting, hockey, handball, table tennis, lawn tennis, gymnastics, athletics, javelin, etc. We have the Indian Music Club to nurture the young musicians visiting the institute, and there are many more clubs like cine, aeromodelling, dance and drama. The campus is huge and is the biggest residential university in India. Faculty : It is IIT, so professors are certainly highly qualified and knowledgeable, and their teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant with ample theory and lab sessions to get a proper idea of the subject. We have a variety of workshops, which makes the students industry-ready.

Banaras Hindu University (BHU), formerly known as Central Hindu College, was founded by Annie Besant and Madan Mohan Malaviya in 1916. It is a public institution with a 1300-acre main campus situated in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, and the second 2700-acre campus at Barkachha in the district of Mirzapur.
