I don't have idea about Mechanical Engineering at Chandigarh University,I did MBA from Lovely professional University and I would say,The Mechanical Engineering department had the most ideal study environment since I have two friends from that stream. The labs and workspace at LPU School of Mechanical Engineering, was fully equipped with all the necessary machinery that was required for wholesome learning.

I am going to share few facts which i know about mechanical department:-
A Mechanical Engineering student goes through an experiential learning process surrounded by high-end latest labs and equipment including robotics and automation. International tech-fests and competitions encourage all-round development in our students in addition to giving them international exposure.
PEP classes start right away from the first semester itself in form of Communication Skills and continue till the final semester covering: Analytical Skills (Logic Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning) Quantitative Aptitude Skills Technical Aptitude Skills Presentations and Soft Skills Mock Exercises (Mock Interviews, GDs, Mock Tests, etc.) All a student has to do is to maintain a good academic record and personality to ensure his/her placement.
Mechanical Engineering students at LPU are provided with enormous opportunities of placement drives. I can see my few friends getting placed in reputed companies like Hyundai, Reliance Energy, Godrej, Sandhar Technology,XL Dynamics and many more. Even IT industries recruit Mechanical students here. The faculty members are very knowledgeable in their respective fields. They are always ready to help the students. During the exams, professors arrange special classes for the students to help them revise better and clear their doubts. Apart from all the curriculum you come across, literally, 100s of technical and non-technical competitions being held. The mechanical branch is quiet good with an overwhelming achievements that you won't be able to see in any other private northern university.
