GIBS provides a supportive environment for introverted or non-marketing oriented students to develop their placement potential through a focus on personalized mentoring and emphasising strengths rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Students will be assisted by the placement team and faculty in finding appropriate career paths in analytics, finance, human resources, operations, research, back-end consulting or corporate support functions where communication skills are crucial but aggressive sales techniques are not required. Mock interviews, aptitude training, resume development, domain-based skill development and one-to-one mentoring will help students to gain confidence at their own pace and develop industry-specific skills. By interacting with industry professionals regularly, working on real-life projects and having access to internships, students have the opportunity to expose themselves to real-world experience in a low-pressure environment. Mentors provide continuous encouragement and support to help students overcome their self-doubt.
