How is the HR programme of IIM Amritsar? Can I get any idea about its placement?

Candidates who have complete master's degree or PG Diploma or its equivalent in any discipline with first-class or BTech/4-year degree with 6.5 CGPA or equivalent are eligible to apply for PhD programme at IIM Amritsar.

Aspirants with any professional qualification such as CA/ ICWA/ CS/CFA- Level-II (USA) with a graduate degree in the relevant subject has a minimum 55% aggregate marks or equivalent grade point average can also apply.

IIM Amritsar shortlists candidates based on their entrance exam scores at the first level. Aspirants must have a valid score in CAT, GATE, GMAT, GRE or JAM for admission. Shortlisted candidates are further called for a personal interview round for admission. The institute also considers Class 10, Class 12, qualifying degree marks and work experience and gender diversity for final selection. 

Candidates must pass a bachelor's or a master's degree or any other equivalent degree, preferably involving Management, Mathematics, Computer Science or allied fields with at least 60% aggregate or 6.0 CGPA or first class to apply for MSc programme at IIM Amritsar. Besides, aspirants must also have a valid score in CAT, GATE, GMAT, GRE or JAM for admission.

IIM Amritsar offers a five-year Integrated programme in Management or IPM leading to MBA. Students in the course get an option to exit the course in three-years with a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Finance and Economics degree. Students are shortlisted for IPM based on their IPMAT scores. Selected candidates have to further pass a personal interview round for admission.

IIM Amritsar and IIM Jammu both offer MBA admission based on the CAT entrance exam. The final CAT cutoff is comparatively higher for IIM Amritsar (95-96) than IIT Jammu (90) for the General AI category students.
