    Established in 1987 by the act of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, Vardhman Mahaveer Open University was earlier known as Kota Open University. The university is approved by UGC (University Grants Commission), DEB, AIU (Association of Indian Universities), and NCTE. Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, through various departments and five schools of study, offers undergraduate, postgraduate, Diploma, Certificate and various courses to students.
