Of these, 540 colleges are privately owned, 130 colleges are owned by public/government organisations, and public-private entities own 39 colleges. Some of the popular BMLT colleges in India include CMC Vellore, PGIMER, Jamia Hamdard, JIPMER Puducherry, AIIMS Rishikesh, JMI, SIMTS,  and many others.
