    Hello,
    Few preparation tips for CAT are to :
    1 Identify first the Strengths and weaknesses section-wise
    2 Understand the Basics first and make your concepts and fundamentals clear
    3 Take as many Mocks as possible and analyse each mock to assess your performance
    4 Improve your Speed with Accuracy.

    Hello,
    There are 3 sections in CAT exam - Verbal Ability, DILR, Quants.
    VERBAL ABILITY
    Start reading newspaper daily to increase your reading speed and grasping power. Don't miss out the editorial page. Do proper analysis of articles on editorial page. Try to make summary of articles that you read para by para. But reading newspaper won't be sufficient. Start solving RCs on a regular basis with proper analysis.
    DILR
    This is one of the toughest section especially from previous 2-3 years. Not only it is tough but it also checks how quick your senses are and how good you are in selecting the sets. So the best thing to score in LR-DI is to pra

    he CAT itself should ideally be given with 6 months preparation, as then a student has enough time to space out his preparation and work at a comfortable pace. Also, for working professionals who dont have as much time on their hands as the college students, and who perhaps have to devote more time to preparation than college students, it is essential to start early. Several steps which are key to giving a good CAT cannot be taken overnight or crammed into a couple of weeks time.     Start with basic maths specially 9th and 10th standard. Refer some good CAT preparation books like
    Arun Sharma How to prepare for Quantitative Ability for CAT published by Tata McGraw Hill
    Nishit Sinha The Pearson Guide to Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning
    Trishna's Verbal Ability And Logical Reasoning
