Types of B.Com Courses at DU

At Delhi University, you can pursue:

• B.Com (Hons.) — more specialized and academically rigorous.

• B.Com (Programme) — broader commerce education.

• DU SOL B.Com (Distance / Open Learning) — flexible non‑regular course.

Eligibility Criteria

 Regular DU B.Com (Hons. / Programme)

 You must pass Class 12th / 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board.
 Admission is typically based on CUET‑UG scores (Common University Entrance Test – Undergraduate) and the DU Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) process. You need to register online to participate. 

Maths Requirement (Updated):
Earlier DU had considered Maths in Class 12 for B.Com (Hons.), but that requirement has been reversed; students can apply without Maths now. 

 How the DU Admission Process Works

Step‑by‑Step Process

1. Take the CUET‑UG Exam →
   You must appear in the CUET exam conducted by NTA. Your CUET score forms the basis of merit for DU UG admissions. 

2. Register Online on CSAS Portal →
   After CUET results are out, log in to the DU CSAS‑UG admission portal (e.g., ugadmission.uod.ac.in) and create your profile using your CUET details. 

3. Fill in Preferences →
   Select courses (like B.Com Hons or Programme) and colleges in order of priority.

4. Seat Allotment Rounds →
   DU runs multiple rounds of allotment based on CUET scores and preferences. You may receive seat offers accordingly. 

5. Accept Seat & Pay Fees →
   If allotted a seat, you must accept the offer and pay fees online before the deadline to confirm admission.

DU SOL B.Com (Distance/Open Learning)

If you don't want the regular CUET process, you can consider DU School of Open Learning (SOL) B.Com:

Eligibility: Just Class 12 pass.
Admission: Online on the SOL portal (sol.du.ac.in).
No Entrance Exam: Merit‑based on Class 12 marks.
Documents Required: 10th/12th mark sheets, photo, signature, etc.
Fee: Usually lower than regular DU colleges.

 Selection Criteria & Cut‑offs

Merit: Higher CUET scores → better chance for top DU commerce colleges.
Cut‑offs: DU B.Com courses (especially Honours) are highly competitive and cut‑offs can be very high (above 97–99 percentile for top colleges).

 Fees & Other Charges

Fees depend on the college you join:

• Central DU colleges often have moderate tuition fees (e.g., ₹7,000–₹31,000 per year). 

• SOL B.Com fees are typically lower since it's open learning.
