How to select a good B-school? I am a B.Com final year student and I have got composite score of 500 in February MAT.

    1. Rankings to understand the quality of teaching.
    2. Specialisation
    Some MBA schools are famous in some specific subjects irrespective of the overall rankings and provide good future in that area.
    3. Placements
    Generally placements are superb for high ranking schools. But then if you have inclination towards any specific sector or company, you should check the placement history of that school whether it provides the same sector for you. Not all the school are good in all sectors.

    Hi Surya,
    There are different type of admission for MBA and PGDM in India. IIMs and other business schools provide admissions on the basis of CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, etc. CAT is number 1 entrance test to get a seat in IIMs. MAT is also competitive enough. But, you should get 700+ score out of 800 to get top business schools.
    With your score, you can apply for some colleges like:
    1. IPE – Hyderabad.
    2. VJIM – Hyderabad.
    3. Shiv Shivani Institute of Management – Hyderabad.
    4. Indira University.
    5. Balaji Group.
    6. DY Patil University, etc.

    Try to join in B-School, it's best for MBA.

    To get a decent B-school, you need better score. You should go for preparation or appear for May MAT. Though with this score, you can apply for an average college, but you should look for ROI.

The CCSU XAT Cutoff 2025 was 50 for the Gender-Neutral Candidates under the All India quota.
