Nikhlesh Mathur I really loved your suggestions. I know a colony within my area where lot of eunuchs live. They are dressed up better than most normal people in my area, have beautiful homes, and are generally well-off. People suspect that this is because they are into prostitution.
On the other hand, I talked to one on train, who was asking money from people and she started crying and sharing her stories with us. I realized that people around me were taking me for a fool for just talking to her! She shared how she gave in to alcohol and drugs to keep her mind off her situation. I would really like to do something for them. -
University of Madras has created Special Seats for TG's in their constitutent Colleges and Provides Concession in their Fee in Distance Education also.

Trangenders in Tamilnadu are recognised by the State Govt. and provided Ration Card, Voters ID Cards, Sensus Included them, Transgender Welfare Board was established and even today 1 crore was allotted in the Ist Budget of the Newly Formed Govt. in Tamilnadu.
Many Tamil Movies were taken to create awareness of this poor Third Gender and Youth are Common Public were aware of their state and social Alert has been created by many NGO and CBO's.
Unless & Untill we include Children & Youth for this change, other efforts will not gain fruitful benefits. -
I think , The discussion is addressing a Social Issue in General and All the Points are Worth looking at but the discussion wont lead to anywhere .

Thank you all for your comments and compliments but I am still waiting to see what career opportunities do you suggest for eunuchs. I personally think that since people feel uncomfortable facing and talking to eunuchs, front-end jobs like receptionist and client servicing may be out of question for them and may not be viable for organizations too.
But then, back-end jobs like documenting, inventory management, and security services can be open to them. I read somewhere that someone hired a group of eunuchs to collect taxes or perhaps, unpaid bank loans and I thought it was the best way to reverse the situation for the mainstream people....more -

Well a nice discussion initiated by Smriti. I too believe that the society should respect their existence and they should be given equal opportunity to grow with the society. -
Eunuchs is a minority but that does not mean that they do not exist, hence there is a sense of responsibility of the society to give complete respect in every sector of the society and at each stage of life!

I completely agree with Kankshi, as we say that ladies should be treated as equals so is these Eunuchs. there should be equal opportunities as well.

I would also like to add that in some states unemployed youth, opt themselves to become one so that they have some means of making money.
As you might be aware that people in north give regards to eunuchs and consider their blessings fruitful and curse a real one and they pay them what they ask for.
For iimproving their life, they should be sent to the same school like anybody else. It is the family first that discards such kids, hence, first they should be educated about this unique gender.
