Many fake Institutis in India. UGC and AICTE give statewide fake universities list but they are not give private Institutes,Onlie degrees,E-learning fake institutes list. well one that big question
any institute which is approved DEC concil and ISO certified they are same and equal to UGC approved ? -

Fake goods are having their own market and people purchasing the same has atleast the idea that it is fake. Take the case of any branded apparel from west, the fake with the same level is available with fraction of cost, but quality difference is visible, so knowingly sometime we purchase such goods.
Similarly in education also , we are well aware that for any recognised degree certain admission procedure, duration and examination procedure are laid down. As stated by Suni there are such agents who get you a visa, especially such cases you would find for UK and Punjab is a hub for all such activities, so, not only the foreign countries, Indian government also need to get alert.

I regret to inform you that St. Johns University, Kishanattam, Kerala doesn't exist in Kerala. The Kerala Police under the guidance of our education minister conducted a local search and could not trace out the university !. May be UGC might have received some fake information or some one has printed and used a fake certificate some where!!!. If you come across any incidents let us know !!!. But the police identified abd caught hold of a fake vice chancellor which he claimed of a university outside Kerala ( I believe Madhya Pradesh). He has only passed his +2 examination and has himself printed fake certificates of various universi...more

Yet another example : If you have work experience, come and write our exam. We will give you certificate upon payment of prescribed fee. No attending of classes, No writing of assignments.?. And there are people who got job in Arab countries with this certificate !!!!!!

thanks for the info Gomti and Sathya. The fake universities and colleges in UK are not listed in the UKBA register for visa purposes and DFES list. The list is available online and is easily accessible.
In Australia : the Universities and colleges that are registered with govt. have a CRICOS code which is always listed. If a educational institution does not have this code they are not registered and hence can be considered fake. -
