    @ hey rajan i think civil is much better option than doing b.tech in manufacturing or production engg.

    Civil Engineering is the most oldest and core branch of engineering and now days civil engineers are in great demand due to boom of infrastructural and real estate estate sector.go for it.it is the most reputed branch of engineering.

    first of all i would like 2 tel that i have my own interest in construction filed & in manufacturing filed &my parents r interested and ready 2 support me financially for construction. secondly from my name i had many property in the heart of city but my problem is in my city there is only single phase construction permission becouse of which i would not be able to have huge profit & for manufacturing of a product my father is not interested that's why i m confused for branch selection.

    Options can be judged only when one knows the other alternatives. This unfortunately is not clear in the topic put for discussion. Now assuming that the alternatives are other branches of engineering, it would still be not wise to put the stamp of 'the best' on the civil engg. branch because the objective behind selection of a career option is basically to be successfull in that filed and earn money + name. Civil could be the best for many who have deep interest in designing of buildings and inherent flair for architecture. Thise who do not have this would not agree to civil engg being the best.So it is totally a personal choice and th
