    The arts schools focus at molding a MA graduate to be a professional artist where as an MFA degree holder has an advantage of gaining proficiency in the subject and also to master the art.
    Hence, a MFA graduate might draw a higher salary than a MA graduate because of the specialized skill set.

    HI ALL,
    The duration of MA is 2 years and it requires a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in any specialization
    While MFA requires 2 to 3 years and the candidate must have a BFA degree to get enrolled in a MFA program.
