Physiatrist can find employment in the following areas :
    Rehabilitation centre
    Hospitals
    Private offices
    Independent practice
While physical therapist can work in :
    Hospitals
    Outpatient clinics
    Private offices with special equipments
    Independent practice
With the modern lifestyle and less physical activity, most of the people develop some sort of joint related ailment in the old age and they definitely need a physiatrist or a physical therapist

    HI
Physiatrist and physical therapist often work together, but physiatrist is a specialized doctor and physical therapist is a medical provider, but he is not a doctor

    Hi,
A physiatrist is generally a physician with specialization in physical medicine & rehabilitation.
The physical therapist is generally referred to as PT's who are health care professionals and they deals with all age groups who suffer from health related problems, injuries or illnesses that limits their easiness to move and to perform daily routine activities like other normal people
