I am an average student and I belong to a middle class family. Do I have any chance to do MS from USA/UK without giving TOEFL, GRE, etc.?

I have done my B.Tech in ECE.

Hello Anuplab, USA most of the universities require GRE and TOEFL scores. There are few universities who don't require GRE scores, but they are not ranked as such. Whereas in UK, you will have to only go for IELTS exam. GRE is not required for MS. Also USA gives you OPT but UK do not have post study work visa.

GRE and TOEFL and all are the reliable ways for them to understand that you can study with the desired prerequisite knowledge and without issue with their accent or internationally accepted communication way. Without them even the references are not useful for any trusted institution.

Honestly, there are comparatively less chances to get admission in universities if you don't appear for TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and other exams like Graduate Record Examinations (GRE). Universities and programs that accept TOEFL set their own score requirements that are based on certain English skills that students need to have. So if you wish to apply for universities which are outside India, if you apply with TOEFL, GRE in the overseas universities, the chances are more to get admission.

GRE is not mandatory for all MS programs abroad. Many universities have made it optional or waived the requirement. Some top universities in US and Canada often still require or recommend it for admission.
