The UGC NET and CSIR NET exam are held to determine the eligibility for assistant professor posts in university & colleges. The major difference between UGC NET and CSIR NET is that CSIR NET exam is held for Science stream candidates while UGC NET exam is held for other stream candidates. The minimum eligibility to apply for the UGC NET Exam is that you must have post-graduation degree with more than 55% marks from recognized university.
