IIT Dhanbad offers a four-year BTech degree course in Computer Science & Engineering. Admission to the four-year course is entrance-based. It is also one of the top BTech branches. As per the IIT ISM Dhanbad's past years records, almost 100% of students from the CSE department get placed.Ranking: IITs have a higher ranking and reputation among the engineering colleges in India and the world. Seven IITs are in the top 10 of the NIRF 2020 ranking, while NIT Trichy is ranked 9th among the engineering colleges and 1st among the NITs.

IIT Dhanbad offers BTech admisison based on JEE Advanced scores, whereas NIT Trichy admission is based on candidates' performance in the JEE Main scores. However, if you are qualified for the exams and getting both IIT Dhanbad and NIT Trichy for CSE admisison, you must look for all the important aspects such as CSE cutoff, placement, NIRF ranking and course fees, etc. JoSAA Round 1 cutoff is out for admission to the BTech courses and CSE turned out as the most competitive course.
