Hello dear, Candidates belonging to General category and OBC (creamy layer) must have attained the age of 21 on 1st August of the year of the Exam. SO depend on which month your birth date is. If it's after August then you can start your prep in 2024 else 2025 but you can start learning about what UPSC is all about by practising small quiz, assignment, checking UPSC format, going through free videos at this moment only. It will help you alot later. You can do this by downloading LK ACADEMY learning app from playstore.

In my opinion, if you want to prepare for UPSC or any other competitive exams later, you can pursue a BA in Political Science, Economics, History, or Sociology. Since their syllabus is heavily equipped with GK, Indian and world history, public policy, public administration, Indian and world politics, it'll be easier for you to strengthen your base.
