I got 63 marks in JEE Main 2019 and have 92% in CBSE boards. Can I get in UPES, Dehradun for petroleum engineering? Please help me.

Hello Himanshu, UPES conducts UPES-EAT exam for candidates who are willing to take admission in B.Tech programme. The application forms are available in online mode. The exam will consist of objective questions in the form of multiple choice questions (MCQs). The mode of the exam will depend on the paper chosen by the candidate. Hello Himanshu, Yes, you can get admission in UPES for petroleum engineering. UPES conducts UPES-EAT exam for candidates who are willing to take admission in B.Tech programme. The mode of the exam will depend on the paper chosen by the candidate. Candidates can also apply on the basis of board percentage. So, don't worry. Here is what you need to do. 1. Admission through UPES-EAT Around 80% of seats are filled through UPES-EAT which is an entrance exam conducted by UPES. To be eligible for UPES-EAT you need minimum 60% aggregate in class 10th and 12th and 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in class 12th. I believe you have fulfilled this criteria, so you need to apply for UPES-EAT at the earliest. 2. Admission through boards You need a minimum of 80% marks in class 10th & 12th and a minimum of 80% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 12th class. I believe that if you fulfil the criteria, you would get admission in UPES instantly. So, contact the university and apply urgently because only 20% seats are filled through this category. 3. Admission through JEE Mains Merit You need a minimum of 60% marks class 10th and class 12th and a minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in class 12th. Further, there is AJEE Mains cut-off by UPES that you would need to be eligible to apply. Contact the university to know the JEE Mains cut-off and see if you are eligible to apply in this category.
