Dear Nitin, Glad to SEE your decent scores, with 85% you are eligible and with 88percentile, you not only qualify, but also stand to secure second the highest slab of scholarship which amounts to 30% of programme fee in case of CSE & Robotics and 35% in case of other B.Tech programs. It is suggested to finish up with your admission process before June 30th, because after that the scholarship slabs are likely to be reduced. The placements of B.Tech programs all across the university have been fabulous, with over 700 companies coming to campus for recruitment and offering not only the great remuneration but also good job profiles. In order to take admission in your desired course, you need to be eligible. This year one of my friend inquired from LPU regarding B.Tech where she was told to have minimum 60% to take admission as the eligibility is 60% in 10+2 with (English, Physics & Mathematics ) will have to appear in LPU NEST whereas those who have scored 90% in +2 or scored 90 percentile in JEE Mains are exempted from LPU NEST. As she scored more than 80%, she was advised to appear in LPU NEST which university is taking Remotely Online proctored test from home considering the scenario of COVID-19. Furthermore, she was told that LPU promotes following scholarship

Hi...

I need to clarify first: are you asking about admission to Chandigarh University for B.Tech/B.E, or admission to a medical/paramedical course (like B.Sc Nursing, MBBS, BPT, etc.)

The marks required and exam rules differ a lot depending on the stream.

Chandigarh University follows a holistic admission approach, giving importance to both Class 12 performance and JEE Main scores, depending on the route chosen. For JEE-qualified students, the JEE score primarily determines merit-based scholarships and priority counseling, while Class 12 marks ensure eligibility verification. For students not appearing in JEE, Class 12 performance, particularly in PCM subjects, becomes the primary eligibility criterion, alongside CUCET scores for CSE programs. This dual-focus system allows students with strong 12th marks but no JEE score to secure admission, while rewarding JEE participants with merit a

Yes, for B.E. admission at Chandigarh University, students must meet the basic eligibility criteria of Class 12, irrespective of their JEE score. Generally, candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one additional relevant subject. The minimum percentage requirement is as per regulatory norms and may vary slightly by program, but JEE scores alone do not override academic eligibility. Even for students applying with JEE Main 2026 ranks for scholarship consideration, meeting the 12th standard eligibility is mandatory.
