I got my law degree in 1995. Do I have to sit for the AIBE exam?

    All India Bar Examination is an examination conducted by Bar Council of India for law graduates willing to start practice of Lawyer. The candidate will be awarded Certificate of practice after clearing the examination and is eligible to practice in any court in India. The exam is conducted in 40 cities of India in national and regional languages. As this Exam has no Age Limit so you give this exam adn u are eligible to give this exam. As in this exam you Bring your book inside exam hall and the duration for exam is 3 hours 30 minds its held twice a year. Thank you.

    No, AIBE exam is only for the students who are graduating from the year 2009-10. If you had the law degree before 2009-10 then you need not to sit in the AIBE exam to practice law in India.
