SET stands for State Eligibility Test. The candidates who want to go for assistant professor or junior fellowship award, can apply for the SET or NET exam.
The minimum eligibility for the NET/Set exam is post graduation degree. you need to complete the post graduation degree to be eligible for the exam with minimum 55% marks.
After the successfully completion of the exam you will awarded a certificate through which you can apply for vacancies in national universities.

Yes, you are eligible to appear for the SET entrance exam. SET 2018 will be conducted in the month of May.
Basic eligibility criteria for SET exam is that candidates should have completed their class 12 examinations or awaiting their 10+2 result are also eligible to apply, but they will have to submit passing certificate by September 2018.
