I have scored 58% in 12th PCB, can I apply for agriculture course in LPU?

Hi, You require: Yes, you can take admission. Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English, Physics, Chemistry & either Maths or Biology or Forestry) or 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) or 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent subject to valid score in LPU NEST (Agriculture). Hello, For admission in LPU you require 60% in Class 12th. LPU is quite strict in terms of their eligibility for admission. Eligibility for admission in B.Sc. Hons. Agriculture is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry) or 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) or 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent. There are few relaxation as well. I would advise you to consult LPU counselors once for complete detail. I hope this help. All the Best.

Hi, Yes, absolutely you can do Graduation and Post-Graduation both in Agriculture in LPU. According to my best knowledge LPU is the first private University to have ICAR accreditation. In LPU there are 8 specializations in Masters of Agriculture; Agronomy, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Soil Science and Agriculture Chemistry, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Horticulture (Fruit Science), Horticulture (Vegetable Science) and Horticulture (Floriculture and Landscaping). LPU offers 4 year graduation programme also but student must have minimum 60% aggregate marks in 12th standard and must have studied English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry in 12th standard. There is 5% relaxation in the eligibility to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants) (10% relaxation to outstanding Sports Persons. LPU has very practical and advanced approach in the teaching pattern and you will realize once you get a chance to have a conversation with any of the Agriculture Students of LPU. Actually they feel very fortunate when got to learn field implementation, basic concepts in yield production.

In the situation of Covid-19, LPU has relaxed their eligibility norms. Because of which LPU NEST is not compulsory for all the programmes. As for this programme LPU NEST works for scholarship purpose only. Here I am sharing the eligibility criteria of B.Sc. Hons Agriculture programme I. e. Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English, Physics, Chemistry, Maths or Biology or Forestry) or 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) or 2 years. Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent. LPU do follow their eligibility norms so you can SEE for any of the relaxations if applicable.
